Goodman, James Edward (the scrappy 5’10 Jim Goodman) of Dublin, Ohio passed away June 21, 2023 after battling cancer. Jim was born to Alice Louise and the late Robert M Goodman on, Feb 2, 1946, in Lancaster, Ohio. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1964 where he was a basketball “legend” scoring the first Lancaster basket in the new gym...they were down 12-0. After high school, he spent some years in the Ohio National Guard where he made lifelong friends. Jim Married the late Nancy Cordes in 1980 in Lancaster, OH. They relocated many times before calling Tampa, FL home for almost 30 years.
Jim had a passion for sales and marketing in which he worked many years at Anchor Hocking with various companies and eventually independently. Jim loved the game of golf. He spent years playing with friends and family, socializing on the 19th hole, and eventually working as a starter and marshal.
If you knew Jim you knew he bled scarlet and gray. Cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes with his friends and family was a highlight in life. He was a social butterfly who could make anyone's day brighter with his legendary stories, positive attitude, costumes, and jokes.
He is survived by his loving family; Jason Goodman (son), Jamie Hernandez (daughter), Alice Louise Floyd (mother), three grandchildren, two sisters, as well as extended family and friends. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident in his final moments.
