James Luther Cole III

James “Bud” Cole III, age 80, passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2022. He was born on June 15, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to the late James Cole and Gloria “Billy” Peligrino. Bud graduated from Perry High School in Canton, Ohio and later went on to serve his country for four years in the United States Air Force. After serving he attended Franklin University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. From 1967 till he retired in 2010 he worked for AT&T. For over forty years he worked at a job that he truly loved.

Bud is survived by his wife Rita; children Shannon, Craig (Andrea) and Lance (Elnara) Cole. He will be deeply missed by his 3 grandchildren Jonathon, Evan and Logan Cole; his siblings and best friend David Kitner. He is preceded in death by his father James Jr. and mother Gloria “Billy”. Bud loved watching Ohio State Football, spending time with his family and making memories with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Shriner Organization.

Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN; 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017 on Monday October 24, 2022 from 5-8pm. A service will be held at 11am on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN with interment to follow at Union Cemetery; 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202.
