Ruth M. Shindledecker

Born on January 18, 1942 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Bochert and Helen R. Yount. She was married to Tim Shindledecker on October 15, 1967. He survives.

She was an excellent mother and enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the choir, gardening, spending time in the outdoors, camping, sight-seeing, and walking her beloved dogs, Ginger and Brandi.

She was involved with Parent-Teacher Association, was a band mother, and volunteered with Clearfield County Youth Field Day.

Mrs. Shindledecker attended Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois, where she was very active; and a recent member of Lakeside United Methodist Church.

She was a 1960 graduate of DuBois Area High School. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. George Cherry, Gourmet Kitchen, and Sears.

She is survived by two sons Scott Shindledecker of DuBois, and Todd Shindledecker and wife Heidi Marzolf of Reynoldsville; a brother, David Bochert and wife Audrey of Ridgway; and a sister, Carol Bochert of Punxsutawney.

Friends and family are invited to the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 420 1st St, DuBois, PA 15801, on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 12:30 pm with Pastor Bob Zilhaver officiating.
