Sherri Sanders Samson

Sherri Sanders Samson, age 60, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. She was born May 1, 1964 in Austell, Georgia. She was a loving sister, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. A cooking show fanatic, she loved cooking and was known for making the best hot wings and fresh blueberry pies. Sherri enjoyed cooking for the holidays and everyone looked forward to her turkey and dressing and her broccoli casserole. She also enjoyed canning and pickling vegetables. Sherri was a former employee at Atlas Logistics and was proud to have been a former Teamster. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan – Go Dawgs!! In her younger days, she was great at roller skating, loved classic rock and roll, and was a very talented artist and enjoyed painting.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest and Christine (Voyles) Sanders; a sister, Rita Dooley; and a son-in-love, Doug Henry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Maria Henry and Ciara Samson; sister, Ann Wade (Danny); two grandchildren,, Luke Henry and Liam Henry; and father of her children, James Samson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM from the Rosehaven Chapel.
