Patricia Ann Nelson

Mrs. Patricia Ann Nelson, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was born March 24, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Nelson attended the University of Georgia, retired from the Douglas County School System in 2012 with 15 years of service, and worked as Comptroller for Douglas County. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, loved to crochet and loved spending holidays with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charlie E. and Lennis G. McMichen.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Nelson; sons, Andy (Lee) Nelson and Matt (Rachel) Nelson; a sister, Glenda Darlene Wingate; six grandchildren, Andrew, Alisha, Amilee, Rebecca, Breanna and Jake; nine great-grandchildren; as well as a number of family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
