Melanie Mae Parker Dale, age 61, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away November 28, 2022. She was born May 3, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Douglasville before moving to Lithia Springs. She was a graduate of Lithia Springs High School, where she first studied cosmetology. Melanie was a hairstylist for years and many years ago owned and operated her own salon, Melanie’s Hairstyles, out of her home in the South Cobb area. A tenderhearted person, Melanie was kindhearted, always befriending those in need—both humans and animals. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Melanie had no children, but she treasured her beloved cat, CC, who had passed away about three months ago. She had found him as an abandoned kitten and had raised him on a bottle. Her pride and joy, CC turned out to be a Maine Coon cat who lived to be about 8 years old.
Preceding her in death were her brother, Todd Parker; sister, Wendy Cochran; nephew, Corey Todd Parker; and her father-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lawson Dale; her parents, Raymond and Barbara (Tuttle) Parker; brother, Ray Parker, Jr. (Maryann); mother-in-law, Lily Dale; sister-in-law, Angela Parker; nieces, Allison Smith (Hunter) and Avery Fair (Alex); nephew, Austin Cochran (Kaytlyn); great-nieces, Ember Cochran, Elora Cochran and Maclynn Fair; aunt, Charmaine Conley; cousin, Garrison Conley; as well as numerous other family members and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
