Mary Ellen Galloway

Mrs. Mary (Myrt) Ellen Galloway, age 90, of Douglasville, GA was called home on October 21, 2018. She was born October 5, 1928 in Columbia, TN. Mary was a member of Owl Rock Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing cards and going camping. She was a member of Unicoi Springs camp resort in Helen, GA. Mary was a cafeteria manager and dietician of an elementary school was a great cook.

She has been reunited with her husband of 63 years, Bill Galloway; parents, George and Jennie Anders; sisters, Geneva and Mae as well as brother, Floyd.

She is survived by her two daughters, Paulette McMillan and her husband Walter, Clarice Carlile and her husband Jackie; brother, Lawrence Anders and his wife Joyce; five grandchildren, Jonette, Bridget and Jeffrey, Kim and Chris; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Fidel, Faith, Hope, Heath, Eli, Alex and Collin as well as two great-great grandchildren, Eliga and Kylee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 12 o’clock pm until 2 o’clock pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Kenny Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
