He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 18, 1947, son of the late Thomas Clark and the late Ina Padgett Clark.
Eddie was a charter member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He retired after 37 years of service with Xerox Corporation as a Service Technician.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dale Clark; sisters, Sandy Turnipseed, Jackie Jackson, and Trina Clark; sister-in-law, Diane Bennett.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda Bennett Clark; daughters, Angela Tuchscherer (Jeff), Cynthia Grantham (Layne); grandchildren, Erica Klimp, Alisha Klimp, Chelsea Hegenwald (Ross), Shane Tuchscherer, Alana Tuchscherer, Emily Ferrell (Josh), Abbey Cleveland (Matt); great-grandchildren, Beau Ferrell, Rhett Ferrell, Tuck Thigpen, Smith Hegenwald, Hallie James Hegenwald; sisters, Kristy Loy, Jody Yohn (Tom), Millie Clark, and Dena Strickland; brother-in-law, Ronny Bennett (Marie).
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, at Sunset Hills Baptist Church in Douglasville at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ikey Watson and Dr. Jim Grieme officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
Inurnment will be held January 7, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sunset Hills Baptist Church.
