Cheryl Teresa Brown

Cheryl Teresa Brown, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Cheryl was born May 13, 1949 in Douglasville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Newman Elbert Bryant and the late Annie Lois McDearis Abercrombie. Mrs. Brown retired from Walmart as a receiving clerk. Her life revolved around her family. When her children were younger they enjoyed spending time at the lake and camping. She also enjoyed flower gardening, and baking cakes for family members on their birthdays.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Preston Brown and her brother, Douglas Neil Abercrombie.

She is survived by her children: Opie Keith Bryant, Temmy (Burke) Kirkland, and Cassandra Corley; her step children: Hugh P. Brown, Jr., Christian Brown, Robert Brown, and James Brown; step father, Roy McDonald Abercrombie; brother, Tim Abercrombie; sisters: Donna Lambert, Janet Lynn Miller, Kathryn Norsworthy, Cathy Lee Bryant, Louise Smith and Elaine Allen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Cheryl will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, 8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, Georgia 30134, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel.
