Angela Gail Davis, age 81, of Heflin, Alabama, formerly of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023. Angela was born May 18, 1942 in Austell, Georgia. Angela was most affectionately known by her family, loved ones and friends as “Grangie”. Her life included her love story with Floyd C. Davis, their 63 years of marriage and the joy of raising their four children together. Both her grown children and grandchildren hold her in high regard as she was loved for her kind, sweet spirit. Grangie impacted the lives her family and all who knew her with her giving, selfless spirit. She was loved and known for her good advice and words of wisdom. Grangie loved to help people and looked for good in everyone. She never met a stranger and helping people was her life’s passion. Grangie’s faith in God and miracles was evident and experienced throughout her life. She is joined today by the many loved ones who have passed before her who she regarded as “Angels Among Us”. She was a woman of strength and valor, and shared her faith, words of wisdom and love with all who knew her. Angela volunteered as a “Pink Lady” at her local hospital and she was an inspiration to everyone who met her. Her family and friends say she was a joy and fun to be around, she enjoyed dancing, spending time at the beach and loved family gatherings. In her spare time she loved to paint and was an avid reader.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Owen and Agnes Lourine (Cook) Sewell; a sister, Frankie Anne Breazeale; and a son, Floyd Calvin Davis, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 63 years, Floyd C.
