Robert Ray Helms

Robert was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandbabies. Robert also enjoyed driving trucks which he did for twenty plus years, hunting, fishing, dancing and drinking Bud light.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Mindy Burgess Helms; three children, Lainey Rider (Micah), Kelsey Daehnert (Michael), and Kody Helms (Tori); six grandchildren, Alex Daehnert, Keagan Helms, Emma Daehnert, Kohen Helms, Nathan and Annie Rider; father, Bobby Helms (Evonda); one sister, Sherry Engelmann (Jeff); mother-in-law, Ann Burgess and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Card Helms and grandparents, Horace and Nancy Helms and William and Dorthy Card and father-in-law, Samuel Burgess.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 10am until Service at 12pm. Conducting the service will be Brother Ken Spivey.
