Philip Pierre Landry “NuNu”, 90, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family and beloved cat, José on Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Paincourtville. His passion for farming and gardening continued well past his retirement. In addition to being an avid reader, he also enjoyed watching all types of sports. Philip is survived by his two daughters, Janet Landry Walker and Darlene Landry-LeBlanc and husband, Jeramie LeBlanc; four sons, Glenn Landry and significant other, Rachel Prince, Dale Landry, Ricky Landry and wife, Linda, and Joel Landry and wife, Stacy; son-in-law, Rob Walker; eight grandchildren, Jason, April, Rosalie, Katherine, Emily, Matthew, Alyse, and John-Philip; two great grandchildren, Ellie and Jack; sisters, Lou Alleman, Lena Roshto, Annalee Durocher, Mary Landry, and Polly Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Marylee Pizzolato and Betty Landry.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Landry; son, Keith Landry; parents, Philip and Irma Landry; and one brother, J.B. Landry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Conducted by Fr. Andrew Merrick. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville.
