Mona Trosclair Falgoust

Mona Trosclair Falgoust, 85, born on November 22, 1937, a native of Chackbay, and resident of St. James, Louisiana. passed away peacefully at House of Grace Residential Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana, on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Mona loved her plants & flowers, and her green thumb made everything she touched grow to perfection. She also loved to cook, bake, sew, dance, and decorate her home for the holidays. She was a very loving and giving person and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, Vanessa Ayres, Nathan Falgoust (Gwen), Wendell Falgoust (Tammy), Anna Chauvin (Jerry), Valerie Landry (Mark); twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and her sister Nettie Borne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Beatrice Trosclair; her loving husband, Preston Leonard Falgoust; and sister Wanda Dempster.

A special thanks and place in our hearts for the sitters who spent time with her, the staff at House of Grace, and Audubon Hospice.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 9:00 am, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, in Vacherie, LA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Father Michael O'Rourke will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association alz.org. Ourso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements along with Flowers by Teapot.
