JoAnn Cancienne Richard

She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. JoAnn was a retired hairdresser of 35 years, loved to play cards, spend time with her family and have a little “something sweet”. She could make you laugh until you cried and you never caught her without her lipstick on.

She leaves behind her husband Carroll Richard, children Kevin (Angela) Richard and Wendi (Darren) Boone, grandchildren Leigh (Richard) Zimmerman, Heather (Jason) Kling, Caroline (Bryce) Lewis, Rebecca (Troy) Bass and Victoria Boone, great grandchildren Alexa, Madison, Lance, Rylee, Hannah Grace, Abigail, Adilyn, Caleb, Jase, Sophie and Lillian JoAnn, sister Mona Cancienne, nephew Ryan Fanguy and niece Jamie Fanguy.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Vella Cancienne, brother Thomas Cancienne and sister Judy C. Fanguy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to D’Ette Stelly, Debbie DeManuelle and the staff at Amedisys Hospice.

Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, LA, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
