She enjoyed cooking, riding in the field, watching game shows, dancing, and going to church. She was an avid LSU and Saints fan. She adored visiting her friends but mostly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She really enjoyed family gatherings. Although she will be greatly missed, she is back with the love of her life, Gilbert.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Andermann (Larry); three sons, Terry Blanchard (Cheryl), Kevin Blanchard, and Scotty Blanchard (Michele); sister, Gloria Harrison; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Casie, Ashley, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Brent, Bryce, Zane, Maddex, and Vaughn; six great-grandchildren, Kate, Owen, Ellie, Zoey, Charlee, and Waylon; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Coupel (Roland); and brother-in-law, James Sanchez (Veron).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rita and Eves Chaisson; her husband, Gilbert Blanchard; sister, Audrey Callais.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Veronica Cassard for her care and compassion.
The pallbearers will be Joshua Blanchard, Bryce Blanchard, Jonathan Blanchard, Zane Blanchard, Maddex Blanchard, Vaughn Blanchard, Larry Anderman, and Michael Blanchard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 for 9:00 am at St. Jules Catholic Church until the Mass of Christian Burial to begin for 11:00 am in Belle Rose. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
