MULLEN (Hill) Helen Ruby Age 90, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2020 at Digby General Hospital. Born October 15, 1929, in Hassett, Digby Co., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Fannie (Cook) Hill.
At the time of her passing, she was the oldest member of the New Tusket Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Youth Group for many years. She was an adept seamstress and even taught sewing classes. Some of her hobbies were quilting, upholstery, reading and cooking. She was a loving wife and mother. She very much enjoyed the Christmas Eve gatherings at her home which were eagerly anticipated by her family and friends.
She is survived by sons, Larry (Darby) of Easton, Glendon of Hassett; daughter, Diana (Sankey) Mullen of Havelock; brothers Jack and George, both of Hassett; she is mourned by six grandsons, Christopher Mullen of Weymouth, Corey Mullen of Hilltown, Craig Mullen of St. Bernard, Blair Clairmont of Whitecourt, Alberta, Thane Mullen of Easton and Todd Mullen of Halifax; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Beside her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Edward; brothers, Wilfred, Ralph; sister, Pearl (Hill) Mullen.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne's Funeral Home, Weymouth.
