Joyce Olive Mary Lewis

Lewis, Joyce Olive Mary – 94 of Rossway, passed away April 16th, 2013 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Sussex, England, she was a daughter of the late, Joseph and Ivy (Mighall) Comeau. Joyce was a great cook, she loved spending time with family, quilting, gardening and reading the newspaper. She is survived by daughters, Olive Hudson, Roxville; Sandra (Joseph) Gaudio, Rossway; sons, Joseph (Valerie), Digby; Ashton Jr. (Louise), Rossway; Daniel (Brenda), Ontario; Fraser (Marge), B.C.; Larry (Linda), Waterford; Gregory (Lee), Manitoba; Mark (Louise), N.B.; 27 grandchildren, 54 great- grandchildren, 7 great- great- grandchildren, brother, Joe Comeau, B.C.; many nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by husband, Ashton Lewis Sr., infant daughter, Rosalie Ann, daughter, Mary, sons, Tony, Gary, Dale, son in-law, Calvin Hudson, sisters, Nellie, Ada, brothers, Reginald and George. Visitation will be 7-9pm, Friday April 19th, from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby. Funeral Service at 10am, Saturday in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Digby. Father Henry Smolenaars presiding. Interment in Rossway Baptist Community Cemetery. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
