We are so saddened to learn of Joyce's passing. Our hearts go out to Art and all the Family. We will keep you in our prayers. I will forever miss you. You were so much more than a grandmother; you were a friend, my friend. You understood me,  accepted me and encouraged me to be the person I am, even if it meant standing alone. You taught me strength and to take pride in it. I will make sure that Leila will know the person that her Great Grandmother Joyce Farris was. 
You were more than what met the eyes. To me you were a a safe place and a warrior. Love you always and forever!

We lost a great woman who I only wish I could have seen everyday cause I will truly miss her.  She cared everyday for everyone else and she gave me a wonderful mother who is as caring as her.  I wish I could tell you I love you once again, will continue to think of you always Grammy.

 What my mother would of said 

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done

I have loved life and loved my family’s dearly . Mick I was lucky to have some one love me as dear and deeply as you did I was blessed. 

Every time I went to grandma and grandpas I was always happy it’s one  of the greatest memories of my life. Grandma was always funny and loveable. My favourite memory was on a beautiful sunny day and me and her and my sister shakira made a gingerbread house it was the best she was always the glue to our family I got to experience the joy of having family around  my parents my siblings  ..Travis ,sylivia,evan and Dee Anna Labadie  The happiest memories love you grandma and see you soon in paradise . ❤️

As waves of emotion and memories fill the minds of her family. I thought I might share some thoughts. I hope that all who have ever been part of these memories can see this and remember all the fun times and love Aunt Joyce touched so many lives. 

          Always

Sounds of sweet laughter full of spirited life
Playing jokes on each other and dancing the jive

No matter the weather
No matter the time
You always had a smile
As the  families arrived

In a toasty warm kitchen
In a stove..dry wood fed
We all anxiously waited
For a piece of baked bread

So we played in our forts with unlimited fun
Til our Mothers would call " Fresh bread is done!"
Running fast as we could, lining up at the door
Enjoying every last crumb and left wanting more

Then tables were set, many children would gather
Fried Bologna, buttered bread, mashed potatoes on platters
And the best part of all was still yet to come
But we savoured each bite as each person was done

Now tea would be poured as the sun set down
Now dishes were washed as all gathered round
No child would bicker no sound to be found
As we scrambled together and all sat down

For now was the time that stories were told
Of the good times, of the memories and adventures of old
We all listened and laughed as each parent shared
And we drifted off gently on laps and on chairs

Yes, No matter the weather
No matter the time
Our Auntie Joyce ALWAYS happy
To see us arrive

We always enjoyed seeing Mick and Joyce, Her beautiful smile always lit a room up. I remember visiting her on the range and enjoying her homemade meals and hospitality. We were so glad that we visited her about a month ago and got to enjoy a cup of Tim Horton's with Uncle Mick and David. Our condolences to all the family. She was loved by many and will be missed <3

Dear aunt Joyce;
When I think of you my heart feels warm.  You were so good to all us kids and I always thought you were so beautiful and strong.  We loved going to visit with you and I can’t imagine how you put up with over 20 kids at a time!!  I loved that we had the same size feet 🦶 a good 10 and the last time I visited you tried to give me yours slippers (now I wish I had taken them) 💞.  I have your baby fingers by the way, you know those crooked little short ones and I think of you every time I look at my hands.  You were a big part of my childhood,  you and uncle Mick and all your children.  Love you always, until we meet again, one of your many many nieces, Rossie 💞❤️

It is with great sadness to learn about Joyces' death.  We have many cherished memories of good times we shared when our families were young.  Death is an enemy that touches us all in one way or another.
