Best, Gordon James – We are saddened to announce the passing of Gordon “Gordie” James Best on January 13th, 2015 at the age of 52. Gordon loved music, whether it was listening, composing or playing. He loved God, his family, friends and his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Cook) Best, Rossway; mother, Claudine Best, North Carolina; biological father, Gordon Stevens, Ontario; son, Branden Pinkney, NB; sisters, Ann Stevens; Cindy Fells, both of Yarmouth; brothers, Greg Best, BC; Blair Stevens,Yarmouth; aunt Leona Stevens; several nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceaseed by adoptive father, Rev. P. A. Best and biological mother, Helen Schroeder. Visitation 7-9 Sunday Jan. 18 at Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). Funeral service 1pm, Monday Jan. 19 Digby at Wesleyan Church. Pastor Andrews Maves presiding.
