Banks, Gertrud Magdalena - Age 86, passed away in Digby General Hospital May 4th, 2014. Born in Germany, Gertrud was a daughter of the late Albert and Ena (Weber) Butenschon. Gertrud loved the outdoors and going for walks. Gertrud is survived by daughters, Christina Rutkowski, Bear River; Kathy Rutkowski, Cornwallis; Maria Rutkowski, British Columbia; son, Piotr Rutkowski, Digby; sister, Helga Krings; grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Rachael, Joseph and great-grandson, Gage. Gertrud was predeceased by first husband, Stanislaw Rutkowski; second husband, Arnold Banks; sons, Josef, Sigmund; sister, Freda and one brother.
