Goguen, Barry Phillip age 57, Smith’s Cove , Digby Co. passed away August 6, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born in Germany, he was a son of the late John Phillip and Muriel Frances (Oickle) Goguen.He loved his family and friends and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Hockey was a big part of his life and he participated in all sports He liked playing cards with the boys and always had a nickname for everyone. He is now where his heart is, with Mama Gog aka. “Gate”. Always told a joke and a smile on his face. He was affectingly known as “Papa Geno”.
Surviving are his daughter Rachael Simms ; son Jimmy Simms; sisters Kathy (Billy); Gail (Robert) ; brother Mike (Cindy); several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2pm, August 17, from Mama Gog’s house, 46 Old Post Rd. Smith’s Cove. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Mental Health.
