Carol graduated from Lincoln Consolidated High School-Ypsilanti in 1970. She married William, just before he shipped off to Vietnam in the Army in 1970. Carol worked for the US Postal Service, then Meijer, but enjoyed being a Homemaker while raising their four children.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crafting making cards, ornaments, stained glass and jewelry and being with her family and friends. She enjoyed all events involving her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her spouse, William H. Coleman; her children, Christine (John) Acker, Mark (Kellie) Coleman , Mary Coleman and Marian Coleman; her Grandchildren, Benjamin Coleman, John Coleman, Isabella Acker, Robin Coleman and Aaron Coleman; and three sisters, Linda (Hepner) Carmody, Elaine Hepner and Shellie (Hepner) Grindy.
Carol was preceded in death by her father Marion Clare Hepner and her mother Carolyn Grace Hepner.
A visitation for Carol will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
A visitation will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130. A celebration of Carol’s life will immediately follow the visitation period.
Burial will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Washtenong Memorial Park, 3771 Whitmore Lake Rd, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105.
Following the burial the family invites all to join them for a time of food & fellowship.
