Our sun will never again shine as brightly after the passing of our beloved Victoria Rose on May 12, 2019, her 22nd birthday. She lit up any room with her vibrant smile and her beautiful face. Victoria had love and compassion for everyone she met and was always the first to help anyone who needed a friend or someone to lean on. Even in death she gave her beautiful blue eyes to help another.
Victoria graduated from St. Johns High School. She worked at Independence Village in Grand Ledge and Portage, and loved interacting with the seniors who lived there. Victoria also waitressed at Harry's Place in Lansing, and at Relli's Sports Bar in DeWitt.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Proctor. Victoria leaves behind her parents, Greg and Linette (Ballard) Proctor; brother, Ben; grandmother, Sue (Schertzing) Proctor; grandparents, Lloyd and Margie (Miller) Ballard; aunts and uncles, Machelle (Steve) McGiveron, Mitzi (Don) Muysenberg, Kim (Rick) Stoken, Robin (Tami) Ballard, Mark (Dennel) Ballard, Stacey (Quentin) Higbie, Tonya Ballard, Chad (Katie) Ballard, Billie Jo (Ballard) Krynak, Jeff Proctor; many, many cousins; and her rescue dog, Jack.
Funeral services for Victoria will take place at the Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt on Thursday, May 16 at 11:00 am with viewing one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
