Susan Louise Baker

Susan Louise Baker(Sue) of Bath, MI took her final breath at home surrounded by family on June 6, 2023. Having lived with breast cancer for 5 years. Sue was born on March 28th 1953 to Rial and Louise Kenyon in Lansing, MI.

Sue graduated from Sexton High School. She worked several banking jobs until she meant and married Dan Baker. Dan was part owner of Lennon Construction Company where she was the secretary for over 20 years. Sue was a member of the Bath American Legion Auxiliary.

Sue’s greatest joys were her family and her basset hounds. She loved watching her daughter participate in all of her sports and celebrating after. Sue was an avid mushroom hunter, gardener, she had a green thumb when it came to growing plants with exceptionally large leaves. She was a huge fan of MSU sports, Tigers baseball, she enjoyed listening to the Traveling Wiburys, playing ladder golf and butt darts.

Sue is survived by her daughter Stephanie Baker, mother Louise Kenyon, brother Steve Kenyon, sister-in-law Pat Brya(Jim) nephew Scott Brya(Angie), niece Tiara Baert(Jeff) and great nephews Kobe, Carson Baert and great nephew and niece Jake and Avery Brya.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dan, father Rial and bassets Abe, Sumo, Moose and Felix. Per her wishes there will be no service. Donations may be made in her honor and memory to the Capital Area Humane Society or St. Jude.
