Robert J. "Bob" Hardwick

Robert J. "Garbage Arm" Hardwick, 88, of Lansing, Michigan passed away December 27, 2013. Bob was born November 21, 1925 in Burlington, Michigan to the late Louis and Thelma (Lamb) Hardwick. He lived his entire life in the Lansing area and worked at Motor Wheel Corporation as a carpenter until his retirement. Bob enjoyed playing softball, golfing, fishing, bowling, camping, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He will be greatly missed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Corso and Norma Sabin. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Charlene (Lake) Hardwick; daughters, Kathleen (Ken) Melvin of Higgins Lake and Barb Hardwick of Lansing; granddaughters, Jori (Chad) Keisel, Amy (Dennis) Moore, and Kimberlee Jones; great grandchildren, Aliceia, Cade, Caleb, Justin, Nicole, and Zach; great-great grandchildren, Javir and Victoria; brother, Keith (Rita) Weers; brother-in-law, Milford Sabin; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel located at 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the DeWitt Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Socciety, 7095 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48906.
