Robert K. Cook

Bob passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 4, in his 91st year. Born April 18, 1922 to Henry and Lavina Cook, he is survived by his sister Juanita as well as his wife Katherine; his children Gary, Duane, Mark and Alan; grandchildren Donnie and Travis, Dustin and Crystal, Chris and Caitlin.

Having spent his early years in Lansing, after graduation from Eastern High School he removed to Detroit to work at Ford Motors. Later, during WW II he served in the U. S. Navy, and sailed aboard the USS Wisconsin. Discharged after the war years he returned to Lansing to raise a family, and to work as a die maker at the Motor Wheel corp., finally retiring after 35 years at that establishment.

He will be much missed by his family and his friends, at peace now after a long and valuable life.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
