Jerald Edward Butler, born October 1st, 1939 in Paragould, AR to the late Virgil and Dorotha (Brummett) Butler, passed away Saturday, May 21. He spent most of his life living in Wacousta, MI with his late wife of 46 years, Karen (Slover) Butler.
Jerry loved his family and friends with all his heart. He enjoyed being out on the golf course, walking at the mall and having breakfasts and coffee with his many friends. Jerry seemed to know people wherever he went, and everyone he knew absolutely loved him. Even throughout his illness, he spread joy and continued making new friends. He never faltered in his faith, or stopped smiling and singing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sherri (Kenneth) Stouffer, and Joseph Butler, his grandson Hunter Stouffer, his brothers and sisters, Ronald (Rowena) Butler, Lanny (Bobbye) Butler, John (Peggy) Butler, Barbara (Ray) Auvenshine, and Jennifer Farhat, as well as his special friend, Lola Meeder.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 12:00 noon, with visitation at 11:00 am at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI.
