Donna Jean Brown

Donna (Martiny) Brown, born July 9, 1930, went home to be with her Lord on March 19, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her time with her husband, who passed away in 1979, and with her daughter and family. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Martiny, husband, Alden, and two brothers, Victor and Bartlett Martiny. She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Kevin) McKenna; grandchildren, Nicholas (Marilyn) McKenna and Megan McKenna; great-grandson, Grant McKenna; brother, Gerald Martiny and several nieces and nephews.

She retired from Motor Wheel in 1986 after 33 years of service. She has been a member of Faith Bible Church for over 30 years. She came to know the Lord at age 11 at a revival meeting in a little country church between Big Rapids and Chippewa Lake where she attended Sunday school.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, at the funeral home.
