Cal attended and graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan. He then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps from August 1956 until he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal in February 1958, having served more than a year overseas.
Cal worked in several positions within the automotive industry until retiring from General Motors, from the position of line inspector, after 41 years.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Charles, Donald and James. He is survived by daughter, Bethany (Brian) Williams; grandson, Zachary (Matthew) Fellows; nephew, Steve (Bev) Bretz; good friend, Joyce Dryer, and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th at Gorsline Runicman Funeral Home in DeWitt, Michigan at 12:00 pm with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm. A luncheon will be served at 2:30pm at the DeWitt VFW Post 671.
