Robert A. Chudy

Robert was the beloved husband of Beverly (nee Heinisch) Chudy; loving father of Andrew (Heidi) Chudy, Peter (Beth Ann) Chudy, Matthew (Michelle) Chudy and Heather (Matthew) Rooney; devoted grandfather of 11; dear brother of the late Georgia (late John) Kuranz, late William (late Barbara) Chudy, and the late Helen Chudy.

After a full and fun life of ninety years, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on January 10, 2023. Bob and his wife Beverly (Bev) were happily married for 58 years, creating a wonderful home in Prospect Heights, IL. Together they raised four wonderful children – Andrew, Peter, Matt and Heather whom have all gone on to have loving families of their own. Always supportive of Bob, Bev was a constant source of love, humor, and patience through their entire lives together.

Ever up for an adventure, Bob traveled the world with Bev visiting too many countries to count. In particular he enjoyed the annual extended family outing to Disney World, enjoying the time with his children and grandchildren, and also enjoying eating his way through the week. Those who knew Bob knew that he always had a big smile, loved a great beer and a great meal, with never a leftover to be found!

When not traveling, Bob kept himself busy tinkering around the house, tending his cabin property in Bristol, WI., or spending many an hour maintaining his meticulous lawn on his lawnmower or tractor. Always taking pride in finding the best deal, Bob was the one to go out of his way to save a nickel.

In business, Bob was a success, starting his company Research Products International almost 53 years ago. That company today has grown by leaps and bounds to now include 8 companies worldwide.

At the end, aside from the memory issues, Bob could still be heard whistling a tune, found watching his old Westerns, or enjoying the constant company around him. Bob was an amazing man that lived an amazing life and we were all lucky to have him.

Visitation for Bob will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 3-8 pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines, IL., 60016, where services will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11 am. Entombment private.
