Margot Knaup

Margot (Maudi) Knaup, 98, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Prospect Heights IL. Maudi was the loving mother of Christina (William) Ostrowski, cherished aunt of nieces and nephews, dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Heinrich, her parents Georg and Emma Rademacher, and her siblings Irmgard Gleissner, Rudi (Gertrud) Rademacher, Horst (Anni) Rademacher, and Walter Rademacher.

Maudi was born in Breslau Germany on April 21, 1926 and came to Chicago in 1957. She was a member of the Rheinischer Gesang Verien Ladies Club for 50 years. In addition to being an outstanding Homemaker for 60 years, she worked 13 years in the kitchen of River Trails Middle School. Maudi enjoyed traveling, visiting family in Germany, and spending time with friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 4-8pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St, Des Plaines, IL. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10am at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Heights, IL. Immediately followed by a graveside service at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL.
