Marjorie Reed

Marjorie was a member of Mystic Baptist Church, where she played piano. She loved quilting, canning, and gardening. Marjorie was a graduate of Hyatt High School.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory one sister: Dorothy Hyatt of Rowlett, TX.; daughter: Kathy Reed of Bundicks Lake, LA.; son: Kenneth Reed and wife Betty of Lake Charles, LA.; step-son: John Brooms and wife Linda of Kansas; three grandsons and three granddaughters of Kansas.

Marjorie also leaves to cherish her memory four grandchildren: Leslie Reed of Fields, LA., Michelle Inboden and Larry of Singer, LA., Josh Reed of Carnes, MS., and one step-grandchild: Paige Borel of Lake Charles, LA.; Marjorie also had two great-grandchildren: Justin Reed and Dawson Inboden of Singer, LA., and two step-great-grandchildren: Whitney Borel and Copeland of Lake Charles, LA.

Preceded in death by her parents: Rufus and Eliza Spikes and husband: Joseph S. Reed.

Marjorie will forever be remembered and loved.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, LA. Service will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mystic Baptist Church in Merryville, LA. Bro. Mark Schultz and Bro. Jerry Hext will be officiating. Burial will follow in Spikes Cemetery in Bancroft, LA., under the direction of Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, LA.
