Marion Gore

Starks, Marion Gore, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in his residence.

A lifelong resident of Starks, he was of Baptist Faith and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gore loved going to his grandkids baseball games and spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Clark Gore of Starks; sons, Kenneth Wayne Hollie of Starks, and Allen Hollie and wife Audrey of Cleveland, Tx.; daughters, Marylyn Frankens and husband Bobby of Hunnington, Tx, Gwendolyn Jarrell of Starks, La., Barbara Burns and husband Billy of Cleveland, Tx. and Paulette Talley and husband Carl of Vinton; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Marion Travis Gore, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 7:00pm in Hixson Snider Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Shields officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
