Anne Marie Griffin

Anne Marie Griffin, 20, of New Llano, Louisiana passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 4, 2001 in Morristown, TN. In High School and College, she was in the Colorguard. She was attending Northwestern State University pursuing her Childhood Education Degree. She enjoyed life; especially, getting to be around her family and friends. She and her husband recently adopted their dog, Rosie, who they loved very much. Anne Marie loved road trips and traveling to different places and learning new things.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tarrence Griffin; her parents, Dan and Teresa Hickson; along with her two brothers, Joshua Hickson and wife Ashlee and their son, Jaden of Greenville, TN, and Alex Hickson of New Llano, LA; foster sisters, Kayla Segars and Jamie Segars; and her sister-in-laws, Marissa Griffin and Kate-Lynn Griffin; and her little brother-in-law, Parker Griffin.

A Celebration of Anne's life will be held at First Baptist Church of Longville on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 5:30pm. A private burial will be held at Hagar Cemetery.

Anyone attending the Celebration of Anne Marie's life is invited to wear red in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund for aspiring teachers at South Beauregard.
