Yvonne Yvonne Davis Massey

Yvonne Massey, 68, departed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colorado after a courageous battle with the blood cancer disease, Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS).

Yvonne was born November 21st, 1947 in Port Gibson, Mississippi to the union of Lawrence and Anna Davis. She met and married her husband; Walter Massey, Jr. stationed at Truax Field, Wisconsin, August 10, 1968. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved and cherished “MY BABY”, Kevin Cordell Massey, born June 11th, 1971.

Yvonne began her employment with the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center in Denver, Colorado and later retired from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service-Denver Center (DFAS-DE) in Denver, Colorado.

To cherish her memory, Yvonne leaves her husband Walter; son Kevin (Summer) C. Massey of Barksdale AFB, LA (Shreveport, LA); two sisters, Mary (Herman) Davis-Smith of Milwaukee, WI and Mildred (Billy) Strickland of Waukegan, IL; three brothers, Lawrence (Flora) B. Davis Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi, and Sylvester and Donn Davis of Waukegan, IL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lawrence B. and Anna Mary Davis; and two sisters, Vivian Strickland and Theodora Davis.
