Robert "Bob" Stephen Howard, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Littleton, Colorado, on December 5, 2024. He was 48 years old. Born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver to Karrie and Brian Howard, Bob was raised in the Littleton and Lakewood areas, where he grew up surrounded by a tight-knit community and a loving family.
Bob was a gifted athlete, excelling in multiple sports and always pushing the limits of what was possible. His impressive athletic career began in high school, where he earned national recognition in Badminton. He was also a talented wakeboarder, known for his uncanny ability to perform difficult tricks without ever getting wet—a feat that earned him admiration from his peers. Golf was another passion of his, with a particular fondness for the Augusta National Golf Club, where he dreamed of one day playing. Bob's athleticism was matched only by his infectious enthusiasm, and he remained an athlete at heart throughout his life.
But it wasn't just Bob’s athleticism that made him stand out. His true gift was his remarkable ability to connect with people. Bob had a rare and natural charisma that made anyone who met him feel instantly at ease. His friends and family describe him as a person who radiated joy, laughter, and positivity. With a heart of gold and a quick wit, he had a special talent for making others laugh, often with his self-proclaimed "dad jokes." He believed deeply in the importance of relationships and spent his life nurturing the bonds he had with his family and friends.
As an accomplished DJ with the Dirty Funk Squad, Bob also had a passion for music that brought people together. Whether he was behind the turntables or simply enjoying a song with loved ones, his enthusiasm for music was always contagious, further cementing his role as a cherished friend and a beacon of fun and light-heartedness.
Bob is survived by his son, Jack; his parents, Karrie and Brian; uncles Steve, Larry, Robert Jr.; and aunts Judy and Gail. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy. While Bob’s passing leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of those who knew and loved him, his legacy of love, laughter, and the importance of human connection will live on in the countless people whose lives he touched.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing he made the world a brighter place for everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
