Glenn Douglas Osborne of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully on January 27, 2016. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to John and Marjorie Osborne on April 16, 1957. Glenn is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy, and his sons, Michael of San Francisco, California, Stephen of Denver, Colorado and Gregory of Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Carol Osborne of Louisville, Colorado, Robert Osborne (Linda) of Washington DC, Nancy Osborne (Art Demarais) of Burlington, Vermont, and Scott Osborne (Bernadette Beddall) of Levittown, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many other family members – aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
After growing up in NJ, Glenn began working for an oil exploration company which brought him to the western part of the country. He settled down with Nancy in Denver, Colorado and began working in 1979 for Oroweat Bread as a laborer. Over the past 36 years, Glenn learned all aspects of the baking industry and worked his way up to management in the company, which is now owned by Bimbo Bakeries USA.
Glenn’s greatest passion was sports. He always found the time to attend or help coach his son’s games. He loved spending the day on the golf course, going to a hockey game or basketball game, but most of all he loved watching his beloved Denver Broncos.
He was a devoted family man, friend, employee and co-worker and never failed to go that extra mile to make someone know they mattered.
Donations on Glenn’s behalf can be made to an organization that made a huge impact on our lives. If not for them, Glenn would have never found his best friend, Murphy. Colorado Puppy Rescue 4553 South Mobile Way Aurora, CO 80015.
A memorial service for Glenn will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. A reception to greet the family will follow.
