Samuel Sonnier

DELCAMBRE – Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 for Mr. Samuel Sonnier, age 65, who passed away at 10:25 pm on Monday, March 11, 2013 at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.

A native of Bayou Tigre and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Sonnier enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his brothers, Stifford Sonnier and wife Beryl of Erath and Tedray Sonnier and wife Peggy of New Iberia; sister, Elizabeth Sonnier of San Jose, CA; Godchildren, Elizabeth Dalbianco, Casey Sonnier, and Alan Monk; nephews, James Sonnier, Scotty Sonnier, Lance Sonnier, John Monk, Lee Monk, and Brent Belanger; nieces, Candy Medina, Stephanie Stubblefield, Debbie Monk, Crystal Pontiff, Paula Dugas, Deborah Wilson, Daleen Thibodeaux, Darla Theriot, and Mandy Vincent; and special cockatiel, Sweetie.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eluse and Alice Sonnier.
