Frank Sugar Bear Silva

10/15/1995 – 05/22/2024

Frankie was born on October 15th, 1995 in Visalia, Ca. to parents Frank C. Silva and Sandra L. Silva. He passed away on May 22nd, 2024 in Delano, Ca.

Frankie had a great love for reading and writing and it was his goal to get his Masters degree and become a history professor and writer. He graduated from College of Sequoias on December 18th, 2020 with an Associates Degree in History where thereafter he transferred to the University of California, Berkeley in the Fall of 2021. While at UC Berkeley he balanced a rigorous school schedule, visiting museums and going to concerts on his free time. He graduated from UC Berkeley with honors on December 16th, 2023.

He enjoyed music and was studying the bass guitar. His favorite bands included The Ramones and the Osees, whom he was able to see multiple times while living in the Bay Area. Frankie was a kind-hearted person who was always willing to help a person in need and never spoke unkind words.

He is survived by his mother & father, sisters Valerie S. Castillo (Jorge) and Vanna M. Silva (AJ), beloved nephews Augustine Popoy, Cruz Castillo, niece Viviana Popoy and his dog Bronco (Bruno).

A celebration of life for Frank will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Road, Delano, CA 93215.
