Sandra Lee LaPlant

Sandra “Sandy” Lee LaPlant was born on March 11, 1941, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and she passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2024, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She adopted and cared deeply for numerous cats and dogs over her lifetime. Sandy graduated from West High School in Green Bay in 1959. She married the love of her life Thomas “Tom” LaPlant on June 30, 1962, at the Church of St. Patrick in Green Bay. Sandy worked for the City of Edmond in the 1970s and 1980s, achieving the position of Payroll Supervisor. In her retirement, she most enjoyed Facebooking and treasuring her furry friends. In her moments of excitement and wonderment, Sandy was fond of saying “Holy Wah.” She is preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Gunnard Suderberg of Green Bay. She is survived by her husband Tom LaPlant of Midwest City; daughter Cathy (Mike) Snapp of Midwest City; son Jamey (Susan) LaPlant of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren Lauren Snapp of Midwest City and Kristina LaPlant (Matt Dooley) of La Crosse, Wisconsin; and great grandchildren Paisley and Cylis Jennings of Midwest City. Sandy is also survived by her sister-in-law Sue (Tom) Nelson of Green Bay.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Midwest City with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Flowers in remembrance can be sent to Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 S.E. 29th Street, Del City, Oklahoma 73115.
