Maria Scarola Errico

Maria Errico passed away on March 28, 2016, at the age of 92. Maria was born in Bari, Italy, on February 9, 1924, to Anna (Bizzoco) and Antonio Scarola. Maria’s devotion to God and her family was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a devout member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Del City, where she sang in the church choir. Proud of her Italian heritage, Maria was a member of the Italian Club of Oklahoma City. She and her husband Giovanni often visited family and friends while vacationing in Italy. Although it was her dream to return to Italy, her first priority was to keep her family together.

Maria was a strong woman with a passion for life. She could often be found enjoying the outdoors, dancing to her favorite music, or cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She was also skilled at sewing and embroidering, talents she used to create dresses for the dolls in her collection. Maria also had a keen eye for details; she took pride in looking her best, and her home was always immaculate.

Maria was a loving, concerned mother to her three children, Anna, Marie Linda, and Paul. No one was a stranger to her affection, and she will always be missed by friends and family.
