Etna Yvonne Newman Jack

On Wednesday, July 26, 2017, Etna Yvonne (Newman) Lewellen-Jack, 90, answered the call of our Lord and Savior and peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home. She was born on October 25, 1926 in Childress, Texas to Ed Simon and Grace Belle (Parks) Newman. She married Kenneth E. Jack in Weatherford, Texas.

Etna was a virtuous woman who was ‘built by God.’ A woman who loved and feared the Lord with all of her heart.

She devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all whose lives she touched as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She enjoyed reading, studying the bible, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ed and Grace Newman; husband Kenneth Jack; son, Thomas Lewellen; 4 brothers, Barrett, Stanley, Glen, James Newman; sister Eva Lois Newman, and her special friend, Clyde Gibson. Those left behind to cherish the memories of Etna are her children, Otis Ray Lewellen of Broken Bow, OK, Minne Herdison and husband Gene of Ft Smith, AR, Dennis Lewellen and partner, Pamela Power of the home, Vanessa Melton and husband Rick of Valley Mills, TX, Phillip Jack and wife Linda of Buda, TX, Jill Sharp of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kenneth Jack and wife Cynthia of Arcadia, OK; sister, Colletta Lively of San Angelo, TX; sister-in-laws, Rudine Newman, Nelcene Newman, Jackie Newman, and Jeanine Jack; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
