Ellie Davila was born September 17th, 1935, in Oklahoma City to the late William and Dolly Merrell. Ellie was a very strong and loving woman with a generous heart. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Ellie married the love of her life, the late Manual Davila at the age of 15, and together they raised nine children. She cherished all the love and affection she received from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren visits. She was fortunate enough to spend some of her later years with her sister, Billie Ann and brother Frank, reminiscing about their childhood over numerous cups of coffee. She was a member of West Lawn Quilting Bees and enjoyed spending time with her fellow quilters.
She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Merrell and mother Dolly Merrell, husband Manual Davila and her sons John Davila, Cliff Davila and Manuel Davila. Also, preceding her are six sisters, five brothers, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Anthanetta Smith and husband John, Victor Davila and wife Ruby, Dena Shankle and husband Gary, Bruce Davila and wife Karen, Toni Wells, and Manuela Davila. She is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to list.
