Mr. Cory Lee Madden

Cory Lee Madden was given life by his Creator and was born on September 5, 1968 to Harvey L and Gwendol (nee Gooch) Madden in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God on January 10, 1969.

God blessed Cory’s life with many special people as he served God in his vocations at home, at church, at work, and in the community. He lived most of his life in Del City and Midwest City, where he attended school in Del City, Midwest City, Mcloud, and Madil, Oklahoma. At various times he worked at the Oklahoma City County jail, as a manager for a 7-11 store, and for Waste Connection. Cory enjoyed watching Oklahoma Sooner football and other teams, hockey, and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Finally, on January 8, 2024, God blessed Cory with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus. His body will be laid to rest in Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. “The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother, Cory. A fellowship reception will be held immediately following the worship service for meeting with family to express condolences.

Cory is survived by his mother: Gwen Madden; daughter: Chelcie (Brandon) Raley; stepson: Chris (Sarah) Rockford; two grandchildren: Brylee Madden and Jaxon Raley; two sisters: Dana (Roger) Baker and Mara (Mark) Chambers; and a brother: Jay (Tammy) Madden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (700 N Air Depot Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73110) in memory of Cory Lee Madden.

A funeral service for Cory will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 N Air Depot Blvd, Midwest City, OK 73110.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Raley, Mark Chambers, Manuel Vasquez, Jay Madden, Matthew Tassey, Roger Baker and Chris Rockford.
