Charlotte Ann Wise, 78, of Newalla, OK went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2015 following her long battle with multiple myeloma. She was surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born January 27, 1937 in Shreveport, LA to Olen Barber and Helen (Wilson) Barber.
Charlotte was a sweet gentle lady who was always humble, positive, and giving. She loved life and always wanted to go – anywhere. She enjoyed traveling, shopping or just taking a Sunday drive. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Her spirit lives on through all of us!
She loved to cook, tend to her plants and flowers, and always having a revolving door for company who she would open her home to at any time. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Charlotte loved OU sports of any kind. Go Sooners! She would get so nervous during OU football games she would have to change the channel and watch something else. She loved her Sooners! What she loved even more than OU sports was the chance to watch her own grandchildren and great grandchildren play.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newalla and enjoyed the time she spent with her Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. She was very Spiritual, almost never missing a Sunday.
With her traveling all around the world as a military family and working at the VA Hospital for 20+ years she had many friends that she loved. She was a great motivator who gave it to you straight whether good or bad. She would say, “What do you think Jesus or God would want you to do”, whether it was her kids, grandkids or great grandkids. She was a great woman!
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother OC, and eldest son Mark.
Survivors include her children, Dana, Cheri, Stacy, Dee, son-in-laws, Ricky and Dwayne, grandchildren and spouses – Kasey/Annie, Dain/Dianne, Mariah/Chris, Amy, Kourtney/Marc, Chase, Kelby/Drew, Tanya, Conner/Kate, great grandchildren – Logan, Makala, Jesse, Molly, Drummond, Lucy, Caden, Ashton, Gavin, Riley, Nate, Andrew, Aidan, Aubrey, loving father of her children Don Wise, sister Janet, brother in-law Stan, sister-in-law Shelia.
She was a blessing to all and she was very blessed. She will be loved and missed but never forgotten.
