Barbara Ann Gentry Mahan

Barbara Ann Mahan, 84, was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She peacefully passed away on May 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 25, 1932 in Oklahoma City, OK, adopted shortly after birth by Dr. Isaac Lloyd and Vegie G. (Warwick) Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Isaac and Vegie Gentry. Survivors include her children, Jay Mahan and wife Patty; Michael Mahan and wife Patty; Linda Mahan; Sandra Clymer and husband Larry; Darryl Clark; grandson Michael Shane Mahan that she raised as her own; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter.

Barbara enjoyed camping, gardening, crocheting, cooking, and traveling. Close to her heart was always her family. She always looked forward to family gatherings, especially the Christmas gathering. She loved all of her grandchildren, but her grandson Michael Shane was the light of her life. She was a strong, independent woman that was an inspiration not only to her children, but also to friends. Barbara never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her loving, caring, and giving personality.

She was an extraordinary person whose spirit, optimism, faith and unconditional love for her family and friends brought her happiness.
