A funeral service for Roupen will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at St David Armenian Church, 2300 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery, 380 NE 6th Ave, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.

Roupen Minas Vartanian

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roupen Minas Vartanian, a beloved son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Roupen touched countless lives with his generosity and unwavering kindness. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, earning the admiration and love of all who knew him.

Roupen was a master of his craft, dedicating many years to shoe and handbag repair. His work was highly regarded, and he had the privilege of working alongside his sister, Azadouhie, both in Lebanon and in South Florida. Together, they contributed to their community with skill and care, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship.

Even during his two-year battle with cancer, Roupen’s dedication to his work never wavered. He continued to go to work each day, never giving up, and remaining committed to his craft and the people he served. His strength and perseverance were an inspiration to those around him.

A proud member of the Armenian community, Roupen was deeply connected to his heritage and contributed to the strength and unity of the Armenian diaspora both in Lebanon and in the United States. His spirit of generosity and service reflected the values of his culture, and he will be remembered fondly by all those in the Armenian community whose lives he touched.

Roupen leaves behind his loving brother Garo, sister-in-law Annie, and his devoted niece Rita, who cared for him closely during the final two years of his life. Their constant support and love during this difficult time were a source of strength for him, and they will forever hold him in their hearts.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him, but his legacy of kindness, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire us.
