As a child, she attended First Baptist Church. Dera graduated from Deer Park High School. After high school, she attended Albany State College. She worked as a sales manager at Sunwink. Dera was loved by all the employees at Sunwink.
Dera was a strong woman and took great care of her family. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her son, Saamir, her brother, Ahmad Roberts and her mother, Betty.
Dera is predeceased in death by her father, Samuel Ronald Roberts, survived by her son, Saamir, her brother, Ronald Ahmad Roberts, niece Milano, mother Betty Roberts, and a host of other family, relatives and friends.
Dera had a great persona and was truly loved. She will be missed.
A church service for Dera will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 191 Washington Ave, Deer Park, NY. Following the church service will be a burial at 12:45 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.
