LILLIAN MANER COLLINS died peacefully at her home in Trinity on August 12, 2015. Lillian was born on December 7, 1915, in Lauderdale County, to Henry R. and Cora (McAdams) Maner. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by George W., her husband of 74 years, two infant children, her 12 siblings and many much loved relatives and friends.
As a devoted homemaker and mother, Lillian supported George during his many years of farming and other agricultural enterprises in Lawrence and Morgan Counties.
Lillian is survived by her children, Patricia (Dave) Crosswhite of Leighton, Gary (Linda) Collins of Trinity, Diann (John) Stanton of Dora, MO; granddaughters, Pamela Price (Roland) Gargis and Lori Price (David) Moore both of Colbert County; grandsons, Chet (Kim) of Raleigh, NC, Kirk (Tara), Brent (Ashley) and Brooks(Sherrie), all of the Decatur area; great granddaughters, Stacey Gargis (Chris) Craft, of Muscle Shoals and Leah Gargis (Charles) King of Wetumpka, Lily Collins, Raleigh, NC; Courtlyn, Carrigan, Abby, Lila and Georgia Collins of Decatur; great grandsons, Eric (Tracy) South of Huntsville, Stratton Collins, Raleigh, NC, Judson and Hudson Collins, Decatur; great-great grandchildren, Tanner, Matthew, Kayla and Colin Craft, Claire and Colleen South, Emmy and Lila Beth King.
During her extended illness Lillian was blessed to have been lovingly cared for by her children and devoted caregiver; Betty McGee Buerger, Kay McGee, LeeAnn McDaniel, Michelle Lancaster, Amanda Lancaster, Holly Ramply Gibson, Melinda Rampley, Tabitha Hood and staff members of Southern Care Hospice.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Roselawn Funeral Home, 741 Danville Road SW, Decatur, August 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.
