Mr. James “Wendell” West age 86, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his residence. Funeral service will be today at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. Visitation will be at Roselawn Funeral Home from 12:00 till 2:00 PM Monday. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. West was retired from Wolverine Tube after 36 years of service. He was a Lifelong member of Westmeade Baptist Church. He was in the Army from 1947 till 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents Davis West and Sarah Royer West, Brothers J. D. West Jr., Waynon West.

Survivors are wife Opal Hill West, daughter Mickey West (Rick) Quarles, son James Wendell West Jr. (Debbie Rea), grandchildren Jennifer Quarles (Ricky) Howland, Brandon West, Alison West, Josh Quarles, six great grandchildren, and several niece & nephews. Pallbeares Josh Quarles, Brandon West, Shawn Terry, Steve Hill, Dewayne Hill, Wayne Hollingsworth.
